The Journey
Hi, I am Huzaifa. Like most people, I love food. But unlike most people, I decided to do something about a problem that bugged me every single day.
The problem was simple: I never knew where to find the food I was craving. I would spend more time searching for where to order than actually eating. Apps showed me restaurants, but I wanted to search by food. I wanted to type in biryani and see every place nearby that makes it, with ratings and prices.
So I built it. Khana started as a side project to solve my own frustration. I wanted a tool that put food first, not restaurant names. Something that understood what hungry people actually need.
As a software engineer, I have worked on complex systems before. But Khana is different. This is personal. Every feature we add comes from real hunger and real frustration. We build what we would want to use when we are hungry at midnight.
My Background
Tech Experience
I work as a software engineer with experience in building web platforms and data systems. Before Khana, I worked on financial technology systems where speed and accuracy matter. I bring that same focus to helping people find food.
Why Remote
Khana is fully remote. We do not have offices because we do not need them. The best work happens when people are comfortable and focused, not stuck in traffic getting to an office. Plus, it lets us move fast and keep costs low while we build.
The Vision
I want Khana to be the first place people go when they are hungry. Not for restaurant names, but for food. When you crave something, we should be your answer. Simple as that.
